Coinbase, Nextdoor, Sweetgreen off by a lot since 2021

Yahoo Finance Live’s Julie Hyman discusses public companies in the class of 2021 one year later.

Video transcript

JULIE HYMAN: Now, we have a number of companies that are on the move today that I like to call the class of 2021. The debuts that we saw last year, most of whom have not done very well, and they're not necessarily doing well again today. I'm talking about Coinbase, which, remember, came public through a direct listing back in April of '21. It's down 65% since. Nextdoor had its IPO in March of last year, down 64%. Sweetgreen, November of last year, down 40%. The one outlier here, although it's down today, is Roblox. Its shares are actually still higher by 5% since its direct listing on March 9, 2021. But that could change today because Roblox shares are down 7%.
