Dunkin' teams up with Goldfish on pumpkin spice graham cracker snack

Yahoo Finance's Brooke DiPalma joins the Live show to taste-test Dunkin's latest collaboration with Goldfish crackers.

DAVE BRIGGS: Forget the summer heat, and say hello to fall pumpkin spice season. It's upon us with one new unlikely collaboration entering the market.

SEANA SMITH: All right, well, Dunkin' and Goldfish. Brook DiPalma is here because we have it right next to us. It looks pretty good, actually. Pumpkin Spice Grahams. It makes a lot of sense, I think.

BROOKE DIPALMA: That's right. This is anything but a cheesy collaboration. I had to put it out there. Of course, Goldfish normally known for the cheese, but this time, it's pumpkin spice. These will hit shelves on September 1 at retailers like Walmart, Target, and Kroger.

Important to note here, despite Dunkin' dropping their fall menu line-up, these actually will not be available at Dunkin' locations. But you can get them, like I said, at those retailers. Also, on August 18, at 12:00 PM Eastern, School Fish Smiles, their TikTok, is dropping an opportunity to then get it, just like we are getting an exclusive look. So any TikTok users, you can jump on there as well.

DAVE BRIGGS: Any TikTok user will drop that? OK, very good. All right, so there's so much pumpkin spice on the market. Is there room for all the players? It seems a bit overcrowded.

BROOKE DIPALMA: That's right. Well, according to Tastewise Analytics-- of course, Seana trying to dive into these right here.

SEANA SMITH: I'm really struggling with this. I'm trying not to rip it open because my luck, I rip it and everything will go flying. So I'm calling out now.

DAVE BRIGGS: All right.

SEANA SMITH: [INAUDIBLE].

BROOKE DIPALMA: So it appears there is, in fact, still some room for growth here. Of course, some saying this is a billion dollar opportunity with more and more brands jumping on like Goldfish. But also, according to Tastewise-- that's the data analytics company-- there actually is some dwindling demand. They're noticing in October 2021, there was an 18% drop in interest of pumpkin spice online compared to October 2020. Now I know that you guys are tasting it.

SEANA SMITH: These so good.

BROOKE DIPALMA: It has pumpkin spice--

DAVE BRIGGS: They're unbelievable.

SEANA SMITH: [INAUDIBLE]

BROOKE DIPALMA: --donut glaze, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon. Is it that good? Should I try some?

SEANA SMITH: Yeah, it is unbelievable.

DAVE BRIGGS: You know, I know Allie Canal sometimes does a rating scale. This is a straight 10.

SEANA SMITH: This is like a 20 out of 10.

BROOKE DIPALMA: Ooh.

DAVE BRIGGS: It might be a 12, yeah.

BROOKE DIPALMA: Now, [INAUDIBLE] Starbucks, of course, the 2003 creator of the pumpkin spice latte, they have not announced yet, but there is speculation online that August 30 will be the drop. So we'll have to wait. For now, we'll enjoy these.

SEANA SMITH: I love pumpkin spice, pumpkin spice everything. So I am all about this. You guys got to go get your hands on this.

DAVE BRIGGS: These are insane.

SEANA SMITH: All right, Brooke DiPalma, thanks so much for bringing this delicious treat.
