JULIE HYMAN: Here's a look at some of the other top stories that we are following. A powerful earthquake ripping through Turkey and Syria early today with the death toll suspected to exceed 1,900, according to the Associated Press. The first quake with a magnitude of 7.8 occurred before dawn. It was followed by aftershocks, some of them nearly as strong as the first.

Automaker Tesla raising the price of its Model Y by up to $1,500. The electric vehicle now starts at $54,990 with higher-end models starting at $57,990. The Y is Tesla's midrange-priced, smaller SUV, sitting above the Model 3 but below the Model S sedan and Model Y SUV. And the pricing comes after the Biden administration modified EV tax credits to apply to more vehicles, although Tesla did not say if the price rise was in response to that announcement.

And finally, private-equity firm The Carlyle Group choosing Harvey Schwartz to be its next CEO. The move ending a contentious selection process for the next leader as the company tries to regain ground lost to competitors and to recover from an internal power struggle. Schwartz is a former Goldman Sachs copresident. He's set to take the job on the 15th of this month.
