Fed likely to raise rates, possibly end 'accommodative' policy era

European shares broadly held their ground on Wednesday morning following limited gains on Asian stock markets ahead of a widely expected rate hike by the Federal Reserve in the U.S. As David Pollard reports, financial markets are focused on whether signs of an acceleration in U.S. economic growth will prompt the central bank to ramp up the pace of monetary policy tightening leaving others behind.
