Hong Kong to give away 500,000 free flights

STORY: Hong Kong is giving away 500,000 free flights to lure in visitors

It’s part of the 'Hello Hong Kong’ campaign to attract tourists and businesses

The campaign highlights the city's upcoming sports, arts, and cultural events

as well as attractions including the M+ museum and Palace Museum

Date: February 2, 2023

[John Lee, Hong Kong Chief Executive]

“For Hong Kong is now seamlessly connected to the mainland of China and the whole international world, and there will be no isolation, no quarantine and no restrictions on experiencing our great wine and dine scenes, on doing business, on joining events and outings, on doing sports, on enjoying the hustle and bustle of Asia's world city."

Hong Kong was largely sealed off behind closed borders for much of the past three years

The city has now lifted most of its restrictions, although mask-wearing is still mandatory
