Kramatorsk hit by fresh Russian missile strikes

STORY: One missile struck the city centre of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, located 20 miles (12 kilometres) from the closest frontline.

Nataliya, a 42-year-old witness who heard two explosions at 4 a.m. local time, said she still wouldn't leave Kramatorsk because she wanted to continue to work.

Russia is attacking scores of civilian and military targets in its bid to establish full control over Ukraine's Luhansk and Donetsk regions in the east, Ukrainian officials said.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said his government was ordering the mandatory evacuation of people in the eastern Donetsk region, scene of fierce fighting with Russia.
