Low market volatility is concerning -market researcher

STORY: "We are a little bit concerned that volatility is still a little bit too low it - and that may sound counterintuitive, but low volatility can induce investors to take on more risk maybe than they're really able to handle. And so we watch that," she adds.

The Cboe volatility index .VIX, Wall Street's fear gauge, stayed below its long term average of 20 points for the second day at 16.6 Wednesday, after hitting its highest since 2020 just last week.
