'Miracle house' spared from La Palma lava

The images shot on Monday (September 20) and Tuesday (September 21) show rivers of lava from the Cumbre Vieja volcano engulfing a residential area.

However, a single patch of land where the "miracle house" sits has been spared from destruction.

Streams of black lava have advanced slowly westward since Sunday (September 19), incinerating everything in their path, including houses and schools.

The lava has destroyed nearly 200 houses and forced thousands of people to flee.

About 6,000 of La Palma's population of 80,000 have been evacuated since Sunday.
