Yahoo Finance anchors discuss Ryan Reynolds making a $3 million investment without consulting his wife.

Video transcript

BRIAN SOZZI: Ryan Reynolds spent nearly $3 million on Wrexham FC, a UK soccer club in Wales, two years ago. On Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, the A-lister revealed he made that purchase decision without consulting his wife, Blake Lively. Of course, she was not happy with the purchase. Reynolds joked on air that they are still working through that one. Couple's net worth is around $180 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

You have to tell your wife. Come on, Ryan Reynolds. What are you doing? This is the top story right now on Yahoo Finance, and with good reason. Ryan Reynolds, that is a really bad look. That is a lot of money. Tell your wife. Do the right thing. Come on, man.

BRAD SMITH: You know, he'll be OK. I have a feeling that they will work through this.

BRIAN SOZZI: Yeah, well, he'll be OK. I'm sure they will get through this.

BRAD SMITH: I mean, it's an investment, too, so. It's just an alternative.

BRIAN SOZZI: But you would tell your wife, right?

BRAD SMITH: Well, [INAUDIBLE].

BRIAN SOZZI: I'm going to get you in trouble. I want you to have a good weekend.

BRAD SMITH: Yeah, please.

BRIAN SOZZI: I want you to have a good weekend.

BRAD SMITH: Yes, of course.

BRIAN SOZZI: OK, you'd tell her.

BRAD SMITH: You tell your significant other.

BRIAN SOZZI: I just want to get that on the record.

BRAD SMITH: A $3 million purchase in anything in life. So, yeah, that's something that should have been done by my man [INAUDIBLE].

BRIAN SOZZI: You're welcome for saving your weekend. You're welcome.
