Auckland District Law Society to live stream CPD seminars

Following an extremely successful pilot, Auckland District Law Society is pleased to announce that live stream access to its 2-hour seminars will become available from 29 August 2014. The addition of this delivery method will mean that all lawyers throughout New Zealand will have access to the wide range of CPD topics offered by ADLSI.

Melissa Fini, ADLSI Manager of CPD & Learning Services says that, by extending CPD services with live streaming, ADLSI is serving the needs of the profession in the modern age.

"We recognise that time away from the office attending CPD events represents a significant investment of time for lawyers and that there is a cost associated with this. ADLSI’s pursuit of technology driven CPD delivery alleviates this issue, as well as providing a further means of access to our CPD to lawyers practising outside of Auckland.

"Feedback from lawyers during the live streaming trials has been extremely positive. This confirmed to us that enhancing our webinar and on-demand CPD services with live streaming was simply a natural progression.

"Live streaming attendees are essentially provided with a ‘window’ into the seminar room via their computer. They are able to engage in the seminar using the chat box tool to put questions to the presenter and/or to share topic related information among other remote users.

"This initiative is consistent with ADLSI’s leadership as a dynamic, innovative provider of quality CPD."
