Viral TikTok Shows The Same Walmart Order Price Increased Over 200% In 2 Years

By now, we've all been impacted by the rise of inflation, especially when it comes to groceries. But a viral video on TikTok shows just how distressing inflation can be in some cases.

In the video, user @sewerlidd revealed that he attempted to buy groceries from Walmart by hitting "reorder all" on an order he placed two years ago, and was left dumbfounded by the dramatic difference in price.

He claimed that the order from two years ago was $126.67. But the order today, when he went to reorder it with the same exact items, the cost had jumped to $414.39.

"I feel like I'm gonna be sick," he said.

Since being posted just a day ago, the video has received nearly 1 million views, and has welcomed thousands of comments. The comments come mostly from those equally shocked by the price increase.

"I knew it was going to be bad. I didn’t know it was gonna be this bad," said one person.

Some users are worried that Walmart might restrict certain features so customers are unable to see past prices.

"You watch now. Walmart will edit how many old transactions show up OR make it so it doesn’t show past prices," read one comment.

The video appears to have also surfaced on Reddit, where users were equally puzzled by the drastic change in price.

"Doesn’t get more damming than that. Right in their own app. Their greed is so blatant…," said one user.

Another person did point out that the difference in price might not be as dramatic as it appears.

"People here think the reorder is legit. 100% sure a few items on there are causing this huge increase by some 3rd party seller or discontinued item," they explained.

Well, that's a relief.
