The news, which was confirmed to People by a Klondike rep, comes at a time when companies have been forced to make hard decisions regarding their portfolio of products. The rep added that Choco Taco was discontinued this month due to demand for different Klondike products.
Furious fans turned to social media to express their thoughts on the shocking news. "This had better just be the most disgusting publicity stunt in history, because if it's not, and I've never been given to hyperbole, America has fallen and the dream is dead," one Twitter user wrote in response to the news.
Additionally, over 20 Change.org petitions pleading for the return of the Choco Taco have been filed since the frozen treat was discontinued.
"Choco Tacos have been discontinued due to The Man once again sticking it to us hard working people. Sign this petition so we can get Klondike to bring back the god tier desert we call the Choco Taco," read the description for one petition, which has received under 30o supporters.
