Is Mandy Patinkin’s Death and Other Details the Next Only Murders? Watch Trailer, Get Hulu Release Date

Hulu is hoping to make the wait for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 a little easier with the release of a new whodunnit.

Death and Other Details (fka Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem) will premiere Jan. 16 with its first two episodes. One new episode will follow every Tuesday, culminating in a two-episode finale on March 5. Watch the trailer above, then keep scrolling for additional details.

“Set amidst the glamor of the global elite, Death and Other Details centers on the brilliant and restless Imogene Scott (played by God Friended Me‘s Violett Beane), who finds herself in the wrong place/wrong time (okay, it was kinda her fault) and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery,” according to the official logline. “The setting? A lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. Suspects? Every pampered guest and every exhausted crew member. The problem? To prove her innocence, she must partner with a man she despises: Rufus Cotesworth (Homeland‘s Patinkin), the world’s greatest detective.”

Rounding out the ensemble are Lauren Patten (Blue Bloods), Rahul Kohli (The Fall of the House of Usher), Angela Zhou (Hell on Wheels), Hugo Diego Garcia (Sentinelles), Pardis Saremi (Hell of a Summer) and Linda Emond (aka Only Murders‘ Donna DeMeo).

The series is written and executive-produced by Mike Weiss (The Mentalist, Stumptown) and Heidi Cole McAdams (The 100), who also serve as showrunners. Additional EPs include Mark Martin (The Republic of Sarah), David Petrarca (Game of Thrones) and pilot director Marc Webb (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).
