Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney play characters who despise each other in their new film — but in real life, the two get along swimmingly.

The Anyone But You costars were spotted smiling and walking arm-in-arm in New York City on Monday as they headed out to promote the R-rated rom-com, which is set to hit theaters on Dec. 22.

As they walked side-by-side, the Top Gun: Maverick actor, 35, and Euphoria star, 25, continued their press tour style streak, Powell in a crisp blue ensemble and Sweeney in a preppy black mini dress.

While the costars say they're strictly platonic — Sweeney is engaged to Jonathan Davino — they have amazing chemistry that Powell raved about to earlier this month.

"A great rom-com doesn't survive without great chemistry, and Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with," he told Entertainment Tonight. "I mean, immediately, it was like we'd known each other forever, and I think anybody that's been on the set realizes I never get tired of talking to Sydney."

The Set It Up star also said that he and Sweeney “make each other laugh.”

“She's awesome, obviously one of the most talented actresses we have," he told the outlet. "This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend-fall in love with."

Around the same time their Will Gluck-directed movie filmed in Australia last spring, Powell split from ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris, fueling rumors that he and Sweeney were engaged in an offscreen romance.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE that Powell’s relationship with Paris “had been on the rocks since Top Gun came out” in May 2022, and he and Sweeney were simply “friends who met on set.”

Both the Hidden Figures actor and Madame Web actress have since addressed rumors of a romance between them.

Last month, Powell recently told Men's Health that they "felt disorienting and unfair.” In August, Sweeney told Variety in August that she and Powell "don't really care” about them.

Powell also acknowledged the rumors while chatting with ET, telling the outlet that while filming romantic comedies, “ideas of love are swirling through your head while these big romantic moments are happening.”

"So, sometimes [it's] harder to differentiate between real life and fake life,” he said.

In May, Sweeney told PEOPLE that filming Anyone But You with Powell — who she has previously referred to as her “fellow camp counselor, adventure extraordinaire, and goof ball” — was fun around the clock.

"It was just laughter 24-7,” she said. “Literally, we were just having a great time every day. It was a really, really fun experience.”

“I enjoyed it a lot,” she added. “I'm excited for it to come out.”

The rom-com follows Bea (Sweeney) and Ben (Powell), whose initial attraction to each other fades quickly "until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia,” per an official synopsis.

"So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple."

Anyone But You is in theaters Dec. 22.
