Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour returns to cinemas to celebrate singer's birthday

Swifties can rejoice at the news of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour returning to cinemas this week.

To celebrate the star’s 34th birthday on Wednesday, December 13, UK cinemas will again open their doors to bring the show back to the big screen for one day only.

A Vue press release stated: “Get ready to immerse yourself in this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a breathtaking, cinematic view of the history-making tour.”

The cinema has also pointed out that “Eras Tour attire and friendship bracelets are strongly encouraged".

Trafalgar Releasing, the company behind the film's distribution, added: "On Wednesday, December 13, we’re going to make the whole place shimmer when TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film screens in cinemas around the world for special birthday showings!"

What is the Eras tour?

As well as being the fastest-selling tour in history, the Eras Tour concert film has also been a box office smash since it first hit cinemas in October, so much so that it has been nominated for a Golden Globe.

Swift's Eras Tour performances began in the US in March this year before wrapping up the 2023 leg last month in South America.

The concerts will pick up again in February with the Asian leg, before the singer heads to the UK with a string of shows in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London.

Where to watch The Eras Tour

Vue cinemas are opening their doors for the day to allow fans to rewatch their favorite singer in all her glory.

Meanwhile, for those who would prefer to watch the Eras Tour in the privacy of their own home, the concert film is also available to rent in the UK and North America from Wednesday onwards.

Fans will be able to rent the documentary-style film in the UK on Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and from streaming platforms that include Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Story, YouTube and the Sky Store.

How can I book tickets?

Fans can either contact their local cinema or book online on the Vue Cinema website.
