When Manish Malhotra's niece gets married...

It's always a good time for a Manish Malhotra fashion show, especially when it features some of Bollywood's leading women.

When the designer's niece, Rriddhi Malhotra, married fiance Tejas Talwalkar this week in Mumbai, the walkways of the wedding and reception almost transformed into runways for the attending stars. Whether it was an homage to Malhotra, or because you can rarely go wrong in his ensembles, most of his guests sauntered in shimmering in his creations.

The favourite colours were easy to spot. While Sridevi, Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Choudry and Urmila Matondkar walked in wearing pop pinks, Kriti Sanon, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Raveena Tandon leaned towards yellows and greens.

There were a few fans of neutral shades too – Karisma Kapoor was clad in a white sari, and Alia Bhatt chose a white lehenga. Both Sonali Bendre and Kareena Kapoor Khan donned shades of rosé.

Then there were the (very) few stars who chose to wear other designers at the do. One of the most vibrant looks included Aditi Rao Hydari's emerald green Sanjay Garg, followed by Esha Gupta's neon Manish Arora lehenga. Huma Qureshi's white Arpita Mehta was followed by Juhi Chawla's gold and white Sabyasachi and Neha Dhupia's black Anita Dongre.

As for the bride, her choice was a no-brainer. Would you wear anyone else if you had Bollywood's favourite couturier for an uncle?
