Comvita led the market lower, falling 3.6 per cent to $6.10, extending its decline after the discovery of the myrtle rust fungal plant in the Far North.
New Zealand shares inched lower on Friday, led by manuka honey producer Comvita on jitters related to the discovery of a fungal plant.
Comvita shares sank 9.4 per cent as investment analysts cut their valuation for the manuka honey products maker and myrtle rust was discovered in the Far North.
New Zealand shares rose on Tuesday, with Comvita recovering some ground after last week's slump as the government proposed a definition of manuka honey.
