Prince Harry's memoir is embroiled in "some uncertainty" about when it will be released. The Duke of Sussex announced last July that he was writing an "intimate and heartfelt" autobiography and although Penguin Random House stated at the time, the book was "tentatively scheduled" to be released later this year, the publishers have now admitted they don't yet have a publication date for the highly-anticipated tome. And the spokesperson refused to confirm to the Sunday Times newspaper if it will s

Cristian Mungiu's Cannes Film Festival entry “R.M.N.” is set in an unnamed mountainous Transylvanian village in Romania, but the conflicts of ethnocentricity, racism and nationalism that permeate the multi-ethnic town could take place almost anywhere. Of all the films competing for the top Palme d'Or prize at Cannes, none may be quite as of the moment as “R.M.N." The movie, using a Romanian microcosm, captures the us-vs-them battles that have played out across Europe and beyond, wherever immigration and national identities have collided. When a local bakery in need of workers — most of the town's men have gone abroad to find work — hires a few men from Sri Lanka, a Romanian village's already complicated mix of ethnicities — Romanian, Hungarian, German — turn increasingly volatile.

Stock market sell-offs are an unfortunate but unavoidable part of being an investor. As more clients on one side adopt Axon's digital evidence management software, it becomes incrementally more valuable for all clients on the other side.
Tech stocks have been one of the worst-performing sectors of the market, losing over 20% of their value so far this year. After a 30-year bull run that saw the Nasdaq 100 index gain nearly 4,000%, the tech-heavy benchmark has turned south and is officially in bear market territory. While that's made investors leery of dipping their toes into the sector, particularly when energy stocks have gained over 50% in 2022, now just might be a great time to invest in tech stocks.
Four people believed to be migrants have died and at least 16 were injured in a traffic collision early Sunday along a rural highway in southern Mexico, the Chiapas state prosecutor's office said. The prosecutor's office did not identify the nationality of the dead men, but said the injured included nine people from Honduras, four from Guatemala, a Nicaraguan and an Ecuadorian, as well as one person whose nationality was not clear. Chiapas sits along the Guatemalan border and the state's highways are common pathways for migrants heading north toward the United States.
Punjab Kings notched a consolation five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in its last Indian Premier League game on Sunday. Liam Livingstone smashed an unbeaten 49 off 22 balls and was dropped twice as Punjab raced to 160-5 with more than four overs to spare. Left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar picked up 3-26 in the middle overs that earlier restricted Hyderabad to 157-8 in its 20 overs.
The EU’s infectious-disease agency is to recommend that member states prepare strategies for possible vaccination programmes to counter rising monkeypox cases, amid mounting evidence of community transmission of the disease. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), said in response to questions on Sunday that it would make the recommendation in a risk assessment to be published on Monday. Any vaccination drive would use the existing smallpox jab as there is no approved monkeypox inoculation and would mean immunising close contacts of confirmed monkeypox patients.
The Liberal Democrats have urged Downing Street to clarify whether Boris Johnson — who is resisting the idea of an energy windfall tax — has discussed the issue with his informal political adviser Sir Lynton Crosby, whose companies represent various clients in the oil and gas industry. The UK prime minister has been holding off calls from Labour MPs, prominent business leaders and some Conservative MPs to impose a windfall tax on North Sea operators to reflect their recent multibillion-pound profits. Although Crosby’s companies — including CT Group — do not disclose all their clients, they have in the past included several companies in the fossil fuels industry around the world.
The new chair of the Federation of Small Businesses is in talks with Downing Street over how to tackle the problem of late payments from large companies to small UK suppliers that is holding back growth. In an interview with the FT, Martin McTague also warned that small businesses were disproportionately affected by inflation given they are less able to pass on cost increases. “We’ve taken this message right to Number 10,” said McTague, who took over as chair of the FSB in March.
Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Josh Rojas is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs because of a left hand contusion. Rojas got hurt when he struck out in the first inning of Saturday's 7-6 victory over the Cubs. Manager Torey Lovullo said he doesn't think Rojas will need a stint on the injured list.
HSBC has suspended a senior executive pending an internal investigation into a presentation he made at an event last week, according to people with knowledge of the process. Stuart Kirk, who is global head of responsible investing at the bank’s asset management division, accused central bankers and policymakers of overstating the financial risks of climate change in an attempt to “out-hyperbole the next guy”. Over the weekend, chief executive Noel Quinn and Nuno Matos, head of HSBC’s wealth and personal banking business, sought to distance themselves from the comments in social media posts.
