Air NZ on-time performance 'among world's best'

Air New Zealand has been named as one of the world’s most reliable airlines in the annual FlightStats On-time Performance Service Awards.

The On-time Performance Service Awards recognise those airlines that demonstrate consistently high performance while delivering on their promise to get passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.

The high profile aviation website ranked Air New Zealand in the top three major international airlines in Asia/Pacific in terms of on-time performance, along with Japan Airlines and ANA. The airline has also been recognised as one of the top 10 airlines globally in the categories ‘Major International Airlines’ and ‘Major International Airlines & Regional’.

Air New Zealand’s Chief Flight Operations and Safety Officer Captain David Morgan says the airline places great importance in getting passengers to their destinations on time without compromising on service or safety and is continually working to improve operating standards.

"Both the Operations and Customer Experience teams are consistently working hard to enhance the customer journey throughout our domestic and international networks - on time performance forms an integral part of this journey.

"Receiving this recognition from such a reputable organisation reaffirms the airline as a world leader".

In January this year Air New Zealand was named as one of the top three airlines in the world in terms of safety.
