Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a special guest to Windsor Castle.

The royal couple received Apple CEO Tim Cook at the royal residence on Thursday, a meeting he later called a "true honor" on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"It was a true honor to meet with the Prince and Princess of Wales," Cook captioned photos from the audience. "We had a wonderful and wide-ranging discussion about the environment, mental health, and other issues that mean a great deal to all of us."

The meeting was listed in the Court Circular, the official rundown of royal engagements, as being held under the umbrella of Prince William in his role as President of the Earthshot Prize.

The trio discussed the next awards ceremony, which will unveil new solutions to some of the planet's problems in Singapore on Nov. 7. — although for the first time, Kate will not join William for the event.

Also on the agenda, as Cook outlined, were other key shared interests. Intriguingly, a selection of Apple-branded bags was shown on the coffee table in the photographs of the meeting, hinting at Cook’s likely gifts for the royal couple.

The meeting is not the first royal conncetion with Apple. Almost two years ago, Prince William took part in a successful Apple Fitness+ Time to Walk encouraging people to take some time out and walk for their mental health over the holidays.

Then, the prince took a stroll through the royals' Sandringham Estate in Norfolk — from Sandringham House, past St. Mary Magdalene Church and ending eventually in Anmer Hall, where Prince William and Princess Kate have a country home. He also memorably talked about how he likes to play AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" to get him up and running on a Monday.

At the time, Prince William also playfully spoke about the regular "massive fight between Princess Charlotte and Prince George as to what song is played in the morning" and how "Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything."

"It's a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around, and, and singing. I hope you enjoy this one. Have some fun," he added.

Later today, Prince William is heading to the town of Swindon, 80 miles west of London, to see a charity that helps young people stay away from crime. He is visiting BEST — Be A Better You as part of his ongoing focus on mental well-being and support for young vulnerable people.
