Magna: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

AURORA, Ontario (AP) _ Magna International Inc. (MGA) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $626 million.

The Aurora, Ontario-based company said it had profit of $1.77 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.67 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.71 per share.

The automotive supply company posted revenue of $10.28 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $10.63 billion.

Magna expects full-year revenue in the range of $40.3 million to $42.5 million.

Magna shares have risen nearly 5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 23 percent in the last 12 months.
