Singapore Airlines to operate seasonal services to Sapporo

Singapore Airlines will operate seasonal services to Sapporo during December 2014 and January 2015 to meet expected demand during the peak winter travel season.

A total of 14 flights will be operated to the capital of Hokkaido, a vast island accounting for about a fifth of Japan's total area. A renowned skiing and snow sports destination, Hokkaido is also home to many national parks and natural landscapes, high-quality agriculture and seafood, hot springs, as well as the Sapporo White Illumination - a festival where the city, blanketed in snow will be lit with decorative lights.

Flights to Sapporo's New Chitose Airport from Singapore will operate twice-weekly as SQ660 on Mondays and Fridays, between 1 December 2014 and 16 January 2015. Flights will depart at 2330hrs and arrive at 0800hrs the following day. Return Sapporo-Singapore flights will operate as SQ661, departing at 0930hrs on Tuesdays and 0855hrs on Saturdays, between 2 December 2014 and 17 January 2015. Airbus A330-300s will be used for the flights, with 30 seats in Business Class and 255 seats in Economy Class.

Tickets are available for sale through the Singapore Airlines website and other distribution channels.

Singapore Airlines operates year-round services to four other Japanese cities, namely Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo (both Haneda and Narita airports).
