Yahoo Finance Walmart Is Dropping Its Minimum Shipping Spend For Walmart+ Members
The holidays are here, which means you've probably been filling up your virtual shopping carts over and over with presents for all of your loved ones. I can't be the only one guilty of throwing a thing or two I definitely don't need into the mix just so I can hit the limit for shipping! If that's you too, you might want to look into getting a Walmart+ subscription since the retailer just added a big shipping perk for members.
Beginning December 4, Walmart will be removing the $35 shipping minimum on Walmart.com orders for Walmart+ members. This means if you forget something when you're making bigger orders, it's NBD!! Walmart+ members will receive free next-day and two-day shipping on items shipped by Walmart no matter the total, which is quite the Christmas present. Oh, and they've clarified that prices on items will remain the same, but delivery from Walmart stores on items like groceries will still carry a $35 minimum.
“It feels like a life hack is needed now more than ever, and Walmart+ is here to help,” said chief customer officer for Walmart Janey Whiteside:
No other membership allows customers across the country to get everything from gingerbread cookies and eggnog to holiday decorations and toys delivered for free as soon as the same day. Walmart+ is designed to make life easier–giving customers an option to not have to sacrifice on cost or convenience.
It's been about two months since the Walmart+ launch, and Walmart promised to continue adding perks for innovating upon its membership model, so, uh, if you were on the fence before, now might be a good time to become a member!
