Apple's China demand woes are 'overblown': Strategist

Earnings season continues for Big Tech names, with Amazon (AMZN) and Apple (AAPL) set to post their earnings this week. A critical component of the earnings picture is consumer demand, as Wall Street seeks to gauge consumer strength. Apple, in particular, has experienced a bumpy road in China, where it saw iPhone sales drop significantly within the first couple of months of the year.  Kace Capital Advisors Managing Partner Kenny Polcari joins The Morning Brief to discuss the market's reaction to earnings season as Big Tech continues to report its earnings. Polcari explains his feelings with Apple in China: "The concerns over China are overblown. Apple earns $120 billion every three months. What are we talking about here? Look what Apple did in April, I think it was off the highs in March. It was down about 17% and now it's rallied back, SC Bernstein just upgraded it...The iPhone story might run into a little bit of a problem, because they're expensive now, not everyone's going to continue to buy $1500 iPhones." Amazon earnings: All eyes on cloud growth for AWS?

Amazon (AMZN) will report its first quarter earnings alongside other tech giants like Apple (AAPL) this week. Creative Strategies CEO and Principal Analyst Ben Bajarin joins Market Domination to discuss Amazon's upcoming earnings and why investors should pay attention to how Amazon Web Services performs. On what to expect with AWS, Bajarin states: "Everybody is going to be looking at cloud growth for AWS. Right now, it's super trendy to talk about CapEx, everyone wants to see what the hyperscalers are spending in terms of new infrastructure, buying AI servers, creating 'AI factories,' as Nvidia (NVDA) likes to call them. I think that's what's going to be a big spotlight, what Amazon's growth is doing in terms of AWS. I think it's probably predictable it will be healthy, somewhat double-digit. Where are they going, where are they guiding, and what CapEx are they investing?" For more expert insight and the latest market action, click here to watch this full episode of Market Domination.
