Yahoo Finance's Jared Blikre looks at how bond yields are faring in the Monday afternoon trading session.

Video transcript

JARED BLIKRE: All right, now we need to turn our attention to US markets right now. I'm going to check the markets on the YFi Interactive. I'm going to take a look at-- well, let's take a look at the 10-year just first. That is up 10 basis points-- pretty big move right there. Also taking a look at the 30-year, that's up four basis points.

And now we can get to the stocks. And let's see, the Dow is up 13 basis points. S&P 500 up about 62 basis points. The NASDAQ almost at 1% also. Oh, these are all down, down moves, I should say, and the Russell down about 1 and 1/2%. And you take a look inside the sector action, who's taking it on the chin the most is communication services, tech, and materials. All three of those are down more than 1%. Utilities and staples up just marginally.
