Cars made from recycled materials race through Peru

This is Peru's 'crazy car' contest

Location: Lima, Peru

All the vehicles are made from recycled materials

More than 20 cars competed in the race

including a Batmobile and a Super Mario car

Contestants crafted their own racing vehicles

“Our car is super welded. We have recycled some parts, going from garage to garage to gather items to assemble it and to make a safe car.”

The race was part of celebrations
