Disney+ suffers glitch on launch day

Fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of Disney+ had to wait a bit longer Tuesday.

The streaming service suffered a glitch just hours following its highly anticipated launch.

Some users who rushed to download Disney's new streaming platform were greeted by a picture of Mickie Mouse along with a message asking them to leave the app and try again.

Naturally, some took to social media to complain.

In response, Disney said that demand exceeded its 'high expectations' and that it is working to revolve the issue.

The company's new streaming platform mixes the new and the classic from Disney and includes programming from Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and other brands.

Disney has told investors it aims to hook 60 million to 90 million customers within about five years as it competes for customers in a crowded market dominated by Netflix.
