JULIE HYMAN: Tesla recalling over one million vehicles over window finger-pinching concerns. Tesla says the automatic window reversal system may not react correctly after detecting obstructions, according to safety documents-- or documents posted by US safety regulators. And that is a violation of federal safety standards.

Tesla discovered the issue in August. It will roll out an update to fix the problem. The company also filing a countersuit, meanwhile, against the California Civil Rights Department, after that agency accused it of fostering racial bias in its Fremont factory. Tesla says, the agency did not give adequate notice or earnest engage-- engagement in efforts to resolve violations.
