Is he the new Thomas Cromwell? Dominic Cummings chuckles

Dominic Cummings, special advisor to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Brexit hardliner, dodged questions on Friday (February 14) the day after a cabinet reshuffle saw finance minister Sajid Javid ousted.

Javid resigned from his post on Thursday (February 13), telling reporters that if he had stayed in the role he would have been required to replace all his political advisers.

He was replaced in the role by Rishi Sunak, former Chief Secretary to the Treasury.

Thomas Cromwell was the infamous adviser to King Henry VIIII in the sixteenth century, and an orchestrator of the schism between the Church of England and Roman Catholic Church.
